Job Description
Our client is a leading national law firm with a growing government and commercial law team. A permanent opportunity has opened for an Associate or Senior Associate to advise public sector clients on the procurement, contracting and probity questions that sit behind major projects.

About the role
The work is a mix of procurement, commercial contracting and probity advice for government departments and agencies.
• Advising on procurement processes, contract negotiation and public sector compliance frameworks
• Supporting the legal aspects of infrastructure development
• Advising on grant program design and administration
• Preparing, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
• Acting as probity advisor on government projects
• Engaging with government departments and contributing to policy and legislative development
What you'll bring
• At least 3 years' post admission experience in government, administrative or commercial law
• Current Australian practising certificate
• A working understanding of commercial contracting and procurement frameworks
• Experience advising on infrastructure or other major initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Problem solving ability and close attention to detail
• A security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
