Senior Rehab Counsellor / Psychologist | Mixed clinical + consulting workload (EAP, Manager Assist, PFA, debriefs) + training streams.
If you’re a Rehab Counsellor / Psychologist who gets bored doing the same thing on repeat, you’ll love this. With my client, your caseload is genuinely mixed: a blend of clinical support, occupational rehabilitation thinking, and organisational psychology-style work that keeps you learning (and keeps your weeks interesting).
You’ll be working across evidence-based clinical services such as EAP, Manager Assist, Career Assist, Psychological First Aid, Critical Incident Services and general debriefing, supporting people at the moments it matters most, and helping them function at their best at work and beyond.
And because my client sits at the intersection of mental health and workplaces, you’ll also have exposure to broader consulting-style projects and capability building, including work like psychosocial risk assessments/interventions, workplace culture reviews, mediation/facilitated discussions, and training to build mental health literacy across organisations.
What Will You Be Doing:
- Delivering personalised counselling and case management to support individuals with diverse psychological, physical, and social barriers impacting their return to health and meaningful employment.
- Conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial, initial needs, and vocational assessments, ensuring clear, empathetic, and professional reporting.
- Identifying psychosocial and vocational barriers to employment and developing tailored rehabilitation strategies that promote sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Liaising with key stakeholders including employers, treating health professionals, insurers, and support networks to coordinate effective and holistic rehabilitation plans.
- Providing vocational counselling and career guidance to assist clients in achieving purposeful and realistic employment pathways.
- Developing strong therapeutic alliances with clients while fostering professional relationships with stakeholders through proactive communication and service excellence.
- Maintaining accurate and timely case notes and reports in alignment with legislative, funding, and ethical standards.
