Job Description

Are you an experienced Rehabilitation Consultant ready to step into leadership, or an existing Team Leader looking for your next challenge in Occupational Rehabilitation?

Our client is seeking a motivated Team Leader – New Employer Services (NES) to provide both clinical and operational leadership within their occupational rehab division. You’ll combine your strong rehabilitation expertise with your passion for coaching others, driving high-quality outcomes, and supporting injured workers into meaningful new employment.

In this role, you’ll oversee a team delivering New Employer Services, guiding them to achieve excellent return-to-work results. This is your opportunity to shape service delivery, influence performance, and contribute directly to the growth and reputation of a respected provider.

You’ll enjoy the autonomy to structure your team’s work, collaborate closely with senior management, and lead service delivery primarily across Workers Compensation and related schemes. Supported by a multidisciplinary team and experienced leadership, you’ll be encouraged to think strategically, grow as a leader, and foster a culture of excellence in service delivery.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead, mentor and support a team of Rehabilitation Consultants delivering high-quality New Employer Services (NES)
  • Oversee complex NES files and provide guidance on job-seeking strategies, vocational counselling, labour market analysis, and RTW planning
  • Maintain a small, manageable NES caseload, modelling best-practice and supporting sustainable new employment outcomes
  • Manage and monitor team performance, KPIs and quality standards, ensuring timely and evidence-based service delivery
  • Identify RTW barriers and support your team to design individualised rehabilitation and vocational plans
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders: insurers, employers, treating practitioners and internal leaders. to drive effective solutions and positive outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, team training and service development within the New Employer Services space
This role is ideal for a senior consultant who enjoys coaching others, problem-solving complex cases and having a genuine impact on both client outcomes and team performance.

What You Will Need:
  • Degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or a related Allied Health field.
  • AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC registration or equivalent professional registration. 
  • Own vehicle & fully clean driving license
