IT Lawyer 2-5 PAE | Adelaide | $120,000-$160,000 + super
 
This is a strong move for a 2-5 PAE lawyer who wants better work, better support and a clearer growth path. Based in Adelaide, you'll join a dedicated Intellectual Property, Technology and Regulatory team and work closely with Adelaide and Sydney partners on technology, telecommunications and major procurement matters for listed businesses, government agencies, multinational subsidiaries and growing Australian companies.

About the role
 
You'll play a visible role in matters and build capability quickly in a team that values commercial judgment and practical solutions.
  • Reviewing and drafting contracts
  • Working across commercial transactions
  • Advising on technology, telecommunications and procurement matters
  • Understanding clients' needs and delivering solutions-focused legal advice
  • Providing sound, pragmatic and innovative advice to corporate clients
  • Managing client contact and progressing work autonomously where appropriate
 
What you'll bring
 
This team is open to lawyers with direct IT law experience, but it will also look seriously at strong commercial lawyers who are motivated to move into the space.
  • 2-5 years' post admission experience
  • Experience in a general commercial law practice
  • Experience reviewing and drafting contracts
  • Exposure to a range of commercial transactions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong legal analysis and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to understand commercial objectives and respond with practical advice
  • Confidence working directly with clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn, be challenged and grow in IT law
