Job Description

This is a standout opportunity for a junior employment lawyer who wants strong work, close mentoring and a genuine future. You will join a boutique Sydney employment law practice acting for individuals across unfair dismissal, general protections, adverse action, discrimination and contract-related disputes.

Why you'll love it here
  • Do meaningful applicant-side work with real client impact
  • Learn directly from a principal with major law firm training
  • Join a smaller, agile practice with high-quality standards
  • Build direct client relationships early in your career
  • Develop advocacy exposure as your experience grows
  • Be part of a long-term growth plan, with partnership aspirations welcomed
  • Secure a strong $120K-$150K package for a 1-3 year PAE role
About the role

You will work closely with the principal across a busy and growing applicant-side employment law practice, supporting employees, executives and individuals through Fair Work, anti-discrimination and contractual disputes.
  • Advise employees and executives on unfair dismissal, general protections and adverse action claims
  • Draft correspondence, submissions and court documents for Fair Work Commission and Federal Court proceedings
  • Assist with anti-discrimination matters and workplace investigations
  • Review and advise on employment contracts, restraint clauses and redundancy entitlements
  • Appear in conferences and directions hearings as your experience develops
  • Build direct client relationships with individuals navigating difficult career moments
What you'll bring
  • 1-3 years PAE in employment law
  • Some applicant-side work preferred, but not essential
  • Genuine interest in employment law and a long-term commitment to the area
  • Strong drafting and communication skills
  • Ambition to build towards partnership, not simply stay comfortable
  • Current NSW practising certificate in good standing
