Spanning 30+ practice areas, the firm is consistently recognised in Best Lawyers Australia and holds Employer of Choice accreditation from Australasian Lawyer.

  • Clear pathway to Senior Associate and beyond for the right candidate
  • A collegial, collaborative team that takes its people seriously

About the Position

Our client is looking for a Senior Commercial Litigation lawyer to join a busy, collegial disputes team based in Sydney CBD. You will run your own files under direct partner supervision and gain meaningful exposure to the full spectrum of commercial dispute resolution, from pre-litigation strategy through to hearing and judgment. This is a role for someone who wants quality work, direct access to senior practitioners, and a team that backs your development.

Matter types include:
  • Commercial contract disputes and breach of contract claims
  • Corporate and shareholder disputes, including partnership and joint venture conflicts
  • Injunctions and urgent interlocutory applications
  • Insolvency litigation (bankruptcy, administration, receivership, liquidation)
  • Fraud, misrepresentation and recovery proceedings
  • Regulatory and compliance disputes
  • Property and lease disputes
  • Defamation and reputational risk matters
Clients include ASX-listed companies, multinational businesses, SMEs and high-net-worth individuals. The firm's ADR capability is nationally recognised, and you will work across negotiation, mediation and arbitration alongside court proceedings.

Key Requirements
  • Admitted to practice in NSW, 4–8 years PQE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
  • Strong drafting skills: pleadings, affidavits, submissions and correspondence
  • Advocacy experience in Supreme Court and/or Federal Court proceedings
  • Commercial acumen and an ability to advise clients practically, not just legally
  • Confident client manner with the ability to run your own files independently
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
