About the role:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic
Employment Lawyer with 3–6 years PAE to manage a diverse and stimulating file load. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level lawyer looking to deepen their experience in both litigious and advisory employment law matters within a well-supported and high-performing team.
You will be trusted to manage your own files, including complex workplace disputes, unfair dismissals, general protections claims, enterprise bargaining matters, discrimination claims, and contractual disputes. This position will suit a confident communicator who thrives in court appearances and has a genuine passion for client advocacy.
You will also enjoy mentoring from senior lawyers and exposure to clients from both the public and private sectors, including corporate employers, employees, executives, and unions.
Key Requirements: - 3–6 years post-admission experience in employment law or litigation
- Admitted to practice in Queensland or eligible for immediate admission
- Strong drafting skills with experience in preparing court/commission documents
- Confident in providing strategic advice to clients across all employment issues
- Ability to achieve billable targets of 5-6 hours per day
- Bringing your own referrals/clients is desirable
- Accredited Specialist desirable
- Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
