About the position: An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Banking & Finance Lawyer with 2–4 years’ PAE to join our client’s high-performing Sydney team. This role offers exposure to a full spectrum of financing transactions and the chance to build a well-rounded legal skillset.
In this role, you will:
- Advise on corporate, property, project, and structured finance transactions
- Act for both borrower and lender sides, including hedge funds, developers, and PE sponsors
- Work directly with senior lawyers and partners on major domestic and cross-border deals
- Contribute to debt restructurings, equity raisings, fund structures and JV financing arrangements
- Collaborate across disciplines, integrating advice with commercial, tax, insolvency, and construction teams
- Gain early responsibility, direct client access, and support to take ownership of your matters
- Work in a close-knit team that fosters professional growth and personal connection
Key Requirements: - 2–4 years’ post-admission experience in banking and finance within private practice
- Proven experience across a range of complex finance transactions
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to assess strategic implications for clients
- A team-first attitude, with a drive to contribute meaningfully to outcomes
