About the Team

You will join a well-structured and collaborative team that includes:
  • An Accredited Specialist managing Partner
  • A team of 7 Accredited family law Specialists

  • Paralegal and administrative support staff

Salary range and features of the position:
  • $100,000 - $150,000
  • High-quality matters and strong file flow
  • Elegant offices in a desirable Sydney CBD location (Close to Bligh Street)
  • Mentoring and structured development from experienced family lawyers
  • Robust admin/paralegal support so you can focus on legal work

  • A professional, collegiate environment where your contribution is noticed
About the position:

Our client is looking for a Family Lawyer (2– 5 PAE) to join their growing Sydney team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain exposure to a genuine mix of files (not just one narrow slice of family law), build strong client relationships, and develop confidence running matters end-to-end with guidance from senior practitioners.
You’ll work across a varied caseload that may include:
  • Parenting matters (including interim applications, recovery orders, and risk issues)
  • Property settlements (including company/trust structures and financial disclosure)
  • Consent orders, subpoenas, and complex negotiations
  • Mediations, conciliations, and dispute resolution conferences
  • Drafting and advising on Binding Financial Agreements (where appropriate)
  • Preparation for court events, briefs to Counsel, and instructing in hearings
If you’re the type of lawyer who wants to be well-trained, trusted with responsibility, and supported to step up — this one is built for you.

Requirements:
  • 2–5 years’ PAE in Family Law
  • experience handling litigation and complex files, or readiness to step into more sophisticated matters
  • strong drafting, negotiation and courtroom capability
  • polished and professional communication
  • a proactive, organised approach to practice
  • comfort working toward around 5 billable hours daily
