The Opportunity:
 
Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Cardiology Registrar to support inpatient and consult services at a regional hospital. You'll work closely with staff specialists, fellows, and junior doctors to manage acute and chronic cardiac patients.

This is an ideal role for registrars with cardiology, general medicine, or acute care experience looking to upskill in a high-functioning team while enjoying the coastal or hinterland lifestyle of northern NSW.
 
Clinical Environment – What You’ll Gain:

• Manage acute cardiology admissions, inpatient care, and consults
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures as appropriate
• Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and MDT discussions
• Work under the supervision of experienced cardiologists and supported junior staff
• Gain exposure to advanced cardiac diagnostics and regional escalation networks

 
Eligibility Criteria:

• General AHPRA Registration
• Confident in cardiac assessment, ECG interpretation, and escalation
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete Northern NSW LHD onboarding and credentialing

• Up to $180/hour depending on shift type and level
