Job Description

Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum Rehabilitation Physician for ongoing weekday locum blocks at Tamworth Hospital in Hunter New England LHD.
  • $2,500/day
  • Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
  • Ongoing locum blocks - short stints or multi-block bookings available
  • On-call for rehab inpatients after hours - rarely called

You'll join a well-established rehabilitation service that includes:
  • 22-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
  • Brain Injury Rehabilitation / Transitional Living Unit
  • New England Spinal Cord Injury Service
  • Amputee and general rehab clinics, plus some outreach (e.g. Moree, Narrabri, Inverell - depending on timing)
You'll be working with:
  • 2 Rehabilitation Physicians, a Registrar (AFRM-accredited) and JMO
  • Experienced RNs/ENs and a full allied health team - Physio, OT, Social Work, Speech, Dietetics and Allied Health Assistants
There is a strong teaching culture, with opportunities to support JMOs, medical students and other clinicians.

You can book:
  • A single short block, or
  • Multiple blocks over time if you're looking for more ongoing work.
Eligibility:
  • Specialist Registration with AHPRA in Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM/RACP or recognised equivalent)
  • Recent inpatient and/or multidisciplinary rehab experience
  • Australian working rights
  • Willing to complete HNELHD / NSW Health credentialing and compliance
