About our Client:

Our client is a respected, mid-tier national law firm with a strong presence in the property and insurance sectors. With a growing Queensland practice, they’re known for practical, commercially focused advice and a collaborative approach to disputes.

About the Position:

Our client is looking for an Associate to Senior Associate level Litigation Lawyer (2–8 years PQE) to join our clients’ team in either the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

This is a genuine “hands-on” litigation role where you’ll take ownership of matters and be trusted to run files with the support of experienced senior lawyers and partners. You’ll work across a broad and interesting disputes practice, including advisory and alternative dispute resolution, with exposure to:
  • Commercial litigation and general dispute resolution
  • Property-related disputes (including strata and community title matters)
  • Building and construction disputes (including defect and contractual claims)
  • Debt recovery, insolvency-related litigation and enforcement pathways
  • Insurance-related disputes and claims-driven litigation
  • QCAT matters and broader regulatory dispute work (where relevant)
  • Mediations, settlement conferences and negotiated outcomes

Key Requirements:
  • 2 to 8 years PQE in litigation (commercial/property/construction experience valued)
  • Strong working knowledge of QLD and Federal Court practice and procedure
  • Proven experience managing litigation files end-to-end (or close to it)
  • Confident drafting skills (pleadings, submissions, advices, evidence)
  • Sound commercial judgement and a practical, client-first mindset
  • High-level communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Strong analytical and research capability, with attention to detail
