Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join their respected disputes team in a senior capacity. Known for its strategic and hands-on approach, the firm partners with a wide range of business owners, franchisors, and investors across Australia. With a commercial mindset and strong industry knowledge, the firm supports clients at every stage of their business journey — from set-up and growth to compliance and dispute resolution.
About the position: This is a senior position offering autonomy, influence, and exposure to high-calibre litigation work across a wide range of industries.
You will:
- Manage complex commercial litigation files from start to finish
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
- Advise on commercial disputes involving franchising, real estate, contracts, IP, and employment law
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals
- Work closely with Partners on strategic matters and business development
- Engage directly with clients including developers, franchisors, and corporates
This is an ideal role for a senior lawyer ready to step into leadership, influence firm strategy, and take ownership of high-value disputes work.
Key Requirements: - Minimum 5 years’ PAE in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
- Strong experience across superior courts and tribunals
- Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation capabilities
- Proven ability to run files independently and lead junior staff
- Commercially minded with strong client engagement skills
