About Us: Our client is a prominent national commercial law firm, highly regarded for its work across the public and private sectors. Their litigation team is known for managing sensitive, complex disputes with strategic precision – all within a collaborative and supportive environment that champions career growth.

About the Position: Our client is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their premier Dispute Resolution & Litigation team in Brisbane. This is a unique opportunity to work on a landmark matter for the Commonwealth Government, involving high-stakes litigation that is shaping national legal discourse.

You’ll play a key leadership role in a long-running, high-profile matter, with responsibilities spanning strategy, advocacy, and client management. While the Commonwealth project will be your primary focus, you’ll also have exposure to:
  • Regulatory enforcement and civil penalty matters for public bodies and corporates
  • Judicial reviews and administrative law cases for government clients
  • Royal Commissions, public inquiries, and internal investigations
  • Disputes involving procurement processes and statutory interpretation
This is a role for a litigation professional who thrives on complexity and is seeking a career-defining opportunity with room to grow, mentor junior lawyers, and shape the future of the practice.

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–5 years PAE in dispute resolution or commercial litigation
  • Background in a top-tier or well-regarded disputes team
  • Experience with government, administrative law, or regulatory enforcement is a plus
  • Excellent drafting, research, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead matters and supervise junior team members
  • Eligible for or able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
