About the position:

Our client is looking for a seasoned Insurance Lawyer (5+ years PAE) to take on a senior position within their Professional Indemnity team. This is an opportunity to work autonomously on complex litigation matters while also playing a key role in mentoring and developing junior legal talent.
You will:

• Manage a portfolio of professional indemnity files, from coverage through to defence
• Advise insurers and insured clients on policy interpretation and indemnity positions
• Navigate complex litigation with a commercial and client-centric approach
• Oversee the full lifecycle of claims, offering practical legal and strategic guidance
• Mentor and coach junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team
• Play an integral part in shaping client relationships and internal team development
• Enjoy flexibility and strong support for leadership development

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years' post-admission experience in insurance law, ideally professional indemnity
• Demonstrated ability to manage files autonomously, from end to end
• Expertise in litigation, coverage issues and insurer advisory work
• Strong written and verbal communication with a clear, confident style
• Client-oriented mindset with commercial awareness
• Previous mentoring experience and a passion for leadership
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit, collaborative legal team
