Job Description

This is a rare opportunity for a Construction Lawyer to work across both front-end and back-end construction matters, servicing a high-quality client base across the building and infrastructure sectors.

  • $130,000 to $220,000 + (3 years PAE to Special Counsel level)

This firm is a highly regarded boutique firm located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, specialising in construction Law, with a strong focus across sectors including aviation, roads, rail, maritime, energy, social infrastructure and water.

About the Position:

  
This is a rare opportunity to work across both front-end and back-end construction matters, servicing a strong portfolio of high-profile clients in the building and infrastructure sectors.
  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, consultancy agreements, and procurement documentation
  • Advising on project delivery models and risk allocation
  • Managing construction disputes, including security of payment matters, litigation, adjudication, and arbitration
  • Working closely with leading Partners and enjoying real client contact from day one
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ post-admission experience in construction law (from private practice or in-house)
  • Experience in both transactional and contentious construction matters (or strong experience in one with the desire to broaden)
  • Excellent drafting skills, commercial acumen and a proactive attitude
