The Opportunity:

Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a committed Psychiatry Registrar to join their General Adult Mental Health team on a locum basis.

Support general adult mental health services in one of NSW's most scenic and lifestyle-friendly regions. This fixed-term locum offers excellent supervision, a varied caseload, and full support, ideal for psychiatry trainees or experienced registrars seeking a meaningful regional placement.

Clinical Environment - What You'll Gain:

• Exposure to a broad range of general adult psychiatric presentations, including acute, chronic, and crisis-related cases
• Work within a multidisciplinary team alongside consultants, nurses, social workers, and psychologists
• Participate in clinical reviews, risk assessments, care planning, and legal documentation under the Mental Health Act
• Daily supervision and opportunities for professional development and exam prep
• Structured handovers and manageable caseloads within a supportive hospital network

Eligibility Criteria:

• General AHPRA Registration
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing

What's Provided:

• Up to $150/hour depending on experience
• Travel, accommodation, and vehicle hire or allowance included
• Full support for onboarding, scheduling, and credentialing
