Develop a brand new Psychology service working for a nationwide NDIS Service to provide assessment & ongoing therapies to clients across the lifespan.

Job Description

Our client is an outcome-focused nationwide NDIS Provider who are looking to add Psychology to their arsenal of Allied Health offerings in North-East Melbourne. The successful candidate will be a sole Psychologist in a wider Allied Health team.

This role requires a dedicated and flexible psychologist to step into a full and varied caseload, with a particular emphasis on ASD and ADHD assessments in early childhood. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact through collaborative work with Behaviour Support Practitioners (BSPs) under the NDIS framework.

About the Role:
  • Immediate start with full caseload of referrals ready to go
  • Work collaboratively with BSPs, promoting real-time clinical discussions and case formulation
  • Referrals include:
    • ASD Assessments (predominantly early childhood)
    • ADHD and IQ Assessments
    • Ongoing therapeutic intervention
  • Mix of assessment and intervention – a balanced, flexible clinical workload
  • Service model is a mix of clinic-based with significant community and outreach work
  • Emphasis on hallway collaboration and team-based care, collaborating with other Allied Health professionals to ensure best client outcomes
  • Support for early career psychologists is considered if external supervision is in place and they can demonstrate proficiency with assessments
  • Clinic will market for all referrals
About You:
  • Proficient with ADOS and ADHD Assessment
  • Previous demonstrable experience with NDIS
  • Comfortable working with clients across the lifespan
  • Tertiary Qualification in Psychology
  • Full AHPRA Registration
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
  • Clean driving license with access to own vehicle
