About the position: Our client is seeking a mid-level Associate (3–5 years PAE) to join their General Insurance team in Sydney. Working alongside a Doyle’s Guide-recognised Partner, you will focus on a diverse and intellectually stimulating mix of
public and product liability matters.
In this role, you will:
- Represent major insurers in defending complex liability claims
- Advise on liability and quantum issues, policy coverage, dual insurance and indemnity disputes
- Work across a wide range of industries including construction, sport, retail, hospitality, and entertainment
- Manage a mix of litigated and advisory work with autonomy and partner support
- Engage in client contact and file strategy from an early stage
- Join a close-knit team with access to career development, training and mentorship
Key Requirements: - 3–5 years post-admission experience in insurance litigation (defendant experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of public liability, product liability and indemnity issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong drafting and legal technical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Sound judgement, time management and organisational skills
- Committed to delivering excellent client service
