About the position:

Our client is seeking a mid-level Associate (3–5 years PAE) to join their General Insurance team in Sydney. Working alongside a Doyle’s Guide-recognised Partner, you will focus on a diverse and intellectually stimulating mix of public and product liability matters.
In this role, you will:

• Represent major insurers in defending complex liability claims
• Advise on liability and quantum issues, policy coverage, dual insurance and indemnity disputes
• Work across a wide range of industries including construction, sport, retail, hospitality, and entertainment
• Manage a mix of litigated and advisory work with autonomy and partner support
• Engage in client contact and file strategy from an early stage
• Join a close-knit team with access to career development, training and mentorship

Key Requirements:

• 3–5 years post-admission experience in insurance litigation (defendant experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of public liability, product liability and indemnity issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong drafting and legal technical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Sound judgement, time management and organisational skills
• Committed to delivering excellent client service
