Associate/Senior Associate - Personal Injury Litigation, Sydney. Complex matters, mentoring, inclusive culture, $140,000-$180,000 + super. Sydney CBD
A standout opportunity for a 2–7 year personal injury litigator ready for strong work, visible mentoring and a better all-round platform.
This Sydney role sits within a respected national firm and offers the mix many lawyers want but do not always find at the same time: complex matters, supportive senior access, solid culture and room to keep building.
You’ll work closely with senior lawyers on common law personal injury litigation, including public liability, asbestos and dust diseases matters.
The client mix includes government, self-insured and major institutional work, giving the practice real depth and variety.
Why you'll love it here - There are several genuine reasons this role should attract attention.
- First, the work is interesting and technically strong.
- Second, you’ll have direct support from experienced senior lawyers rather than being left at arm’s length.
- Third, the wider firm appears to offer more than just a name on the door.
- It promotes an inclusive culture, employee-led support networks, community and pro bono involvement, and broader flexibility options such as varied hours, part-time pathways, purchased leave and career breaks, subject to role and business needs.
- A realistic package for this role is $140,000–$180,000 + super, with the same range carried consistently for both Associate and Senior Associate calibre candidates depending on experience and fit.
About the role This is a full-time Sydney litigation role in a small but busy team.
You’ll be trusted to contribute meaningfully and stay close to the detail.
Your work is likely to include:
- Running and supporting common law personal injury matters
- Exposure to public liability claims
- Asbestos and dust diseases litigation
- NSW District Court and Supreme Court work
- Matters involving government and self-insured clients
- Supporting senior lawyers while continuing to strengthen your own capability
The pace is real, but so is the opportunity.
This role should appeal to someone who wants substance, not just a title bump.
What you'll bring You’ll have 2–7 years’ experience in personal injury litigation.
You’ll also need sound experience in the District Court or Supreme Court of NSW.
You are likely to bring:
- Strong drafting and litigation fundamentals
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable time management
- The ability to work to deadlines
- A positive, grounded team style
- A genuine interest in building deeper expertise in defendant personal injury litigation
