Our client is a specialist personal injury and compensation practice based at Parramatta Square. The firm handles the full spectrum of plaintiff-side PI work: CTP and motor vehicle claims, workers compensation, public liability, medical negligence, class actions, asbestos and dust disease matters, and TPD and superannuation claims. The Position

A genuine file-ownership role for an Associate or Senior Associate ready to step up. You will manage your own PI caseload, appear in the Local and District Courts, lead client relationships from instruction through to resolution, and work directly alongside the firm's Accredited Specialist leadership. At Senior Associate level, supervision of junior lawyers and paralegals is also expected alongside contribution to practice growth.
Key responsibilities:

• Manage an independent caseload across CTP and motor vehicle, workers compensation, public liability, medical negligence, and class action matters
• Appear and conduct proceedings in Local Court, District Court, and relevant tribunals
• Lead negotiations with insurers and opposing solicitors through to settlement
• Advise and guide clients from initial instruction through to resolution
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals (Senior Associate level)
• Contribute to business development and client relationships within the practice

Requirements

• Admitted in NSW; 2-7 years PQE in personal injury law
• Plaintiff-side PI experience across at least two practice areas (CTP and motor vehicle, workers compensation, or public liability minimum)
• Confident court appearance experience at Local Court level; District Court highly desirable
• Strong client communication and independent file management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage and progress an autonomous caseload
• NSW Law Society Accreditation in Personal Injury desirable, not required
