Job Description

Our client, a highly respected independent Australian law firm with a strong culture of support and diversity, is seeking an Associate to join their Environment & Planning team in Sydney.

About the Position:

You’ll work closely with an industry-leading Environment & Planning Partner, providing practical legal advice and handling a diverse range of complex matters across Land and Environment, Local Courts, NCAT, and Tribunals. This includes advising on government powers, investigations, civil and criminal enforcement, merits reviews, and judicial proceedings.

About you:
  • 2+ years post-admission experience in environment, planning or property law, ideally in private practice or in-house
  • Experience with litigation, investigations, prosecutions, and appearances in NCAT and Land & Environment Court preferred
  • Strong client focus with excellent communication and file management skills
  • Eagerness to grow and take on responsibility in a growing team
