The Opportunity:

We are recruiting Resident Medical Officers (RMO) and Senior Resident Medical Officers (SRMO) with ED experience for locum placements across the Northern NSW Local Health District. Opportunities span busy coastal emergency departments and smaller regional sites.

Settings include:

• Emergency Department shifts (days, evenings, and nights)
• Exposure to high-acuity mixed adult and paediatric cases
• Rural and regional EDs offering broad procedural exposure

Clinical Environment - What You'll Gain:

• Diverse caseloads ranging from trauma and resus to general emergencies
• Support from FACEMs, registrars, and strong nursing/allied health teams
• Hands-on procedural experience (airway management, suturing, plastering, cannulation, fracture care)
• Ideal for doctors developing toward Emergency Medicine training or seeking lifestyle-friendly locum work

Eligibility Criteria:

• AHPRA General Registration
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete Northern NSW onboarding and credentialing

• Up to $160/hour, depending on level of experience and rostered shift
