The Opportunity:

Wagga Wagga Hospital is seeking experienced Consultant/Specialist Anaesthetists to provide locum cover within its Anaesthetics Department.

This is a great opportunity to work in a busy regional referral hospital, support a skilled surgical and peri-operative team, and enjoy excellent locum rates with generous inclusions.

Shifts include a mix of theatre lists and on-call responsibilities, with day structure and rates tailored to the roster.

Whether you are looking for short-term ad-hoc shifts or a longer block, this role offers a strong balance of income, clinical variety, and lifestyle.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing anaesthetic care for a mix of elective and emergency surgical cases
• Managing peri-operative care, including pre-operative assessment and post-operative review
• Working closely with surgeons, ICU, ED and theatre staff
• Participating in on-call rosters as negotiated, supporting after-hours and emergency cases
• Contributing to safe, high-quality patient care in a consultant-led service

Eligibility Criteria:

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration in Anaesthesia (FANZCA or equivalent)
• Comfortable participating in on-call arrangements
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete local onboarding and mandatory training (if applicable)
