Job Description

Our client is growing its Positive Behaviour Support service and is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner for a flexible contractor role across Metro Melbourne.

This opportunity suits a clinician looking for 1-2 days per week, with admin completed from home.

  • Metro Melbourne referrals across east and west corridors, plus occasional regional telehealth work, giving you variety without excessive travel complexity.
  • Mixed caseload across the lifespan with a slight adult lean and regular psychosocial presentations, helping you build depth across assessment, planning and stakeholder support.
  • Staged onboarding approach starting with telehealth, making it easier to settle into expectations, referral allocation and service delivery with confidence.
About the Employer / Practice
  • Person centred provider delivering Allied Health, community support, capacity building and disability services across Greater Melbourne, creating strong referral pathways and meaningful participant work.
  • Allied Health team across Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology and Positive Behaviour Support, giving this role multidisciplinary connection and shared clinical thinking.
  • Positive Behaviour Support service includes Functional Behaviour Assessments, Behaviour Support Plans, care team training and restrictive practice reduction, supporting outcomes focused PBS work.
  • Broad disability caseload through allied health and wider service streams, which helps drive referral growth and ongoing service demand.
  • Flexible community model, combining participant contact across Melbourne with telehealth capability and home based administration.

Requirements
  • Current registration as an NDIS behaviour support practitioner under the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
  • Relevant experience in Positive Behaviour Support, disability, psychosocial or mental health settings, with confidence in functional behaviour assessment, plan writing and stakeholder liaison.
  • Ability to work independently in a contractor model while collaborating effectively with participants, families, referrers and the broader care team.
